Join us in Garnerville, NY for a fun-packed afternoon creating a statement piece using your imagery. Start by building your wooden base, adding decorative molding, print your image(s) and add a varnish or encaustic top coat. The Mexican Retablo can be traced back to the early 18th century. They were originally based on popular folk art using iconography derived from Catholic Church art. We’re brought them into the 21st century substituting paints with photographs. Make one for yourself or for someone you want to celebrate. We meet between 2 – 5pm on October 14th. Make as many or few as you like. We provide all of the supplies – Cost $30/each.
Details will be sent after you register. Questions? email or phone us at 516 485-6951.
