Adventures in Metallic Leafing

Are you curious about working with metallic leaf but not quite sure how you can incorporate it into your own art? This workshop will introduce you to the process of applying imitation metal leaf (gold, silver, rose gold, champagne silver, champagne gold) to an image printed on vellum. All the materials necessary for this process are included. We will practice with small samples using stock images and progress to printing one of your own original photographs or a digital copy of your painting or drawing. Photographers, artists and crafters will be inspired by working with metals and vellum. This is a workshop designed to stimulate ideas and take your art in new directions.
A resource list will be provided at the end of the workshop with all the information needed to continue this process in your own studio. Participants will complete six samples and one 5×7 original work.
